Veteran labour leader Shrikrishna Ramchandra Kulkarni passed away at his residence at Dadar here this evening after a prolonged illness, family sources said.
He was 89.
Kulkarni was the president of Transport and Dock Workers Union as well as All India Port and Dock Workers Association.
NCP chief and former Union Minister Sharad Pawar condoled Kulkarni's death.
"Deeply saddened by demise of S R Kulkarni, a veteran labour leader of port and dock workers," Pawar tweeted.
