A lady patwari (village-level revenue official) was today caught red-handed by the Lokayukta police while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 4,000.
Monika Mohari (30), the official, was arrested while accepting the money at her office at Sanver, some 40 km from here, Lokayukta deputy superintendent of police B S Parihar told PTI.
Mohari had demanded the money from the complainant Rajendra Kumawat to change a land record in his name and had already accepted Rs 2,000, an instalment of the bribe.
She was booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigations was on.
