Lead prices on Wednesday fell 20 paise to Rs 156.40 per kg in futures market as speculators cut bets, taking negative cues from spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in November fell 20 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 156.40 per kg in a business turnover of 825 lots.

The metal for delivery in December shed 5 paise, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 156.75 per kg in 7 lots.

Analysts said off-loading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in physical market, mainly influenced lead prices in futures trade.
