Lead prices slipped 0.16% to Rs 124.75 per kg in futures trade today due to sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in June fell by 20 paise, or 0.16%, to Rs 124.75 per kg in a business turnover of 142 lots.
According to analysts, a sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market and a weak trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development cut its global growth forecast kept pressure on lead futures here.
