A man and his two minor children were killed by unidentified assailants in their home at Phampuni in Koraput district, police said today.
The incident occurred when the man's wife was not at home last evening. The deceased were identified as Tripati Behera (40), his son Kishore Behera (14) and daughter Sunita (12).
The bodies of the children bore marks of a sharp-edged weapon, while Behera was strangulated, police said.
While the children died at home, Behera was declared dead at Jeypore hospital, S P (Koraput) Awinash Kumar said.
