A man has been convicted to 10 years imprisonment by a district court for alleged sexual harassment of two minor girls in Barasat.
The Barasat district court's second Additional Judge Santanu Jha sent one Sandip Das to ten years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on him or in default six months more in jail for sexually harassing the two minor girls in his private computer class in September 2013.
Das was a computer teacher where he harassed the two minors and later the parents lodged a complaint with the police, after which he was arrested.
He was convicted under the Protection of Children From Sexual Offence Act.
