Man ends life in hospital

A labourer suffering from

multiple ailments allegedly committed suicide in the Civil Hospital here by hanging himself against a railing, police said today.

The patient was undergoing treatment in the hospital since January 9. He was found hanging from a railing of a staircase in the hospital premises by staff, who later alerted police about it, Kotwali Police Station In-charge, Dinesh Sharma said.

The deceased was identified as Mohan Singh (55) and was the resident of Aasrod village of Tonkkhurd tehsil in Dewas district.

The cause behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained, he said adding a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations are on.
