Man murdered over son's love affair

A 50-year-old man from Talasari in the district was allegedly killed by three persons in the wee hours today as they disapproved a love affair between his son and a girl from adjoining village, police said.

Body of Dilip Vitthal Dhodi, resident of Acchad, was found near a hotel in Savroli, they said.

Dhodi's son stated in a complaint that his father was murdered by members of the girl's family, said Talasari police inspector Ganashyam Adhav.

A case under section 302 (punishment for murder) was registered against the trio.

No arrest has been made so far.
