Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala today termed the December 22 attack by suspected Maoists on forest offices and a restaurant of KFC at Palakkad and Wayanad districts as "an act of cowardice".
Talking to reporters here, he asserted that there was no Maoist threat in the state and the recent action was by certain 'miscreants' having allegiance to these outfits.
Chennithala said these people did not have the support of any tribal organisations, general public and political parties.
