Six persons, including three women, have been booked for allegedly burning alive a married woman in Khanpur Malleha village in Vishveshwarganj area here, police said today.
According to the complaint filed by the victim's family, 22-year-old Nanka Devi was burnt alive on March 3 by the kin of one Alok Pathak, with whom the woman allegedly had an illicit relationship.
The woman died yesterday, Superintendent of Police, Manoj Kumar said.
The police is awaiting the postmortem report, he said, adding the probe was on.
