: Telangana experienced cold weather Tuesday, with maximum temperatures falling well below normal levels in the entire state.
"Todays maximum temperatures are 6-10 degrees C below normal in the entire Telangana due to overcast skies, rains, colder winds blowing from north India. They are expected to rise from tomorrow onwards," the Met office said
The minimum temperatures are around normal and are expected to remain the same for the next few days, they said.
The maximum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, which was 6.4 degrees below normal, was reported in the temple town of Bhadrachalam, they said.
While neighbouring Andhra Pradesh bore the brunt of cyclone 'Phethai',Telangana too received rains at most places.
Thollada and Madhira in Khammam district received five cms of rainfall, according to the Daily Weather Report of Telangana (of IMD) at 8.30 AM Tuesday.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed that measures, including arranging medicines, clothes and relief centres, be taken, an official release quoted Chief Secretetary S K Joshi as saying.
He directed district Collectors to be alert and provide necessary help to citizens, the release added.
