BSP president Mayawati today rushed to the state capital to hold consultations with her party leaders and chalk out future course of action regarding expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh's derogatory remarks.
The BSP supremo arrived here this evening and convened a meeting of party coordinators and other senior leaders to deliberate on the existing situation and decide future course of action, a senior party leader said.
She will address a press conference tomorrow and announce the future programme of the party, he said.
The leader, however, said the protest programme at all divisional headquarters, barring Lucknow on July 25, to press for arrest of Dayashankar Singh, as announced yesterday stands cancelled as of now.
The party had given 36 hours ultimatum to the state police to arrest Singh during its Thursday protest in Lucknow and had yesterday announced dharna programme on July 25 to press for his arrest.
