Mother-daughter duo killed in road mishap in UP

A 55-year-old woman and her 25-year-old daughter were killed in a road accident at Pholanpur village here today, police said.

The accident took place when Umrawati and her daughter Rinku along with one more person were riding on a motorcycle and were allegedly hit by a pick-up van, they said.

While the mother-daughter duo died on spot, the third person sustained injuries in the mishap and has been admitted to a hospital, police said.

The bodies have been sent for post mortem, they added.
