Farmers today complained that ponds and gram samaj lands in the area have been encroached upon by land grabbers.

During a meeting with Noida Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rama Raman, village pradhans rued there was no exit for waste water causing waterlogging of dirty water along the lanes in their areas in Garhi Shahdara.

Some villagers informed the CEO that Bhawani Shankar Inter College, funded by the state, and operational for decades had been wrongly acquired by authorities in 2000, and sought the return of the land in the college's name.

Farmers also raised the issue of non-payment of hiked compensation of 5 per cent developed land, abadi land issues beside rising civic issues and village development issues such as lack of link road to Barat Ghar, electricity, dispensary, school, inter and degree college and cremation grounds.

The CEO directed his officers to take measures for resolution of the problems and promised to hold regular meetings with farmers and monitor the redressal system personally.

He said villages will be developed at par with sectors.

Meanwhile Noida authority team today removed encroachments which were causing obstruction in Faridabad Noida Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway.
