Northerly wind hits Raj, Mount Abu coldest at 10.6 deg C

With inflow of northerly cold wind, Rajasthan witnessed a drop in temperature from one to three degrees Celsius, while Mount Abu, the sole hill station in the state, was coldest last night, recording a minimum temperature of 10.6 degrees Celsius, a MeT report said today.

Temperature at the plains of Sriganganagar dropped to 12 degrees Celsius. Udaipur recorded minimum of 13 degrees Celsius followed by Churu and Bikaner 15.8 each, Jaisalmer 16.8, Jodhpur 18.7 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Jaipur recorded minimum temperature of 16.9 degrees Celsius, while the day temperature was around 30 degrees Celsius.

Mercury will further fall in coming days as northerly cold winds would strike the desert state, a forecast said.
