NSCN(IM) hideout busted, cadre killed in encounter

An NSCN(IM) hideout was busted and a cadre killed by security forces in an encounter in Assam's Dima Hasao district today.

A joint team of the police and Assam Rifles launched a operation in the Kepailo area under Mahur police station of the district and busted a hideout, an Assam Rifles spokesman said.

An encounter followed in which a militant was killed. Some arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of the encounter, the spokesman said.
