More than 200 cartons of liquor worth over Rs 9 lakh were seized from a truck today at tidi area in Udaiour, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police stopped a truck coming from Haryana at a check post and found the liquor being transported illegally.
"The accused driver was assigned the job to deliver the consignment in dry-state Gujarat. We have arrested the driver and further investigating about the source of liquor and who he was assigned to deliver it," Tidi SHO Jitendra Singh told PTI.

The driver was identified as Mohammad Ilias of Kharkhedi, a resident of Alwar district.
Police have booked him under sections of the Excise Act, Singh said.
