Ashraf made the remarks at a meeting with "president" Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan and "prime minister" Chaudhry Abdul Majeed of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

At the same time, Ashraf said Pakistan would continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in their struggle for "self-determination".

Pakistan believes in the "final settlement" of the Kashmir issue "in accordance with the UN resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people for prosperity in the region", Ashraf was quoted as saying in a statement issued by his office.

Ashraf discussed development projects launched in PoK and said "record allocations" had been made for roads, drinking water, sanitation and health in the region.
