Police today used canes to disperse teachers agitating outside the state assembly complex here demanding their adjustment on teaching posts.
The protesters marched in large numbers under the banner of 'Adarsh Lok Shiksha Prerak Welfare Association' to the state assembly complex.
"They squatted on the road throwing traffic movement out of gear so the police used batons to disperse them," a police spokesperson said.

"Normal traffic was soon restored in the area," he added.
According to Association spokesman Satyendra Yadav, around 20 protesters were injured in the police action.
The protesting teachers are demanding their adjustment on teaching posts. At present they are working on honorarium.
