Police register cases

Police today registered a

case against Puthia Tamizhagam leader S Krishnaswamy for coming late for paying homage to the Dalit leader Immanuel Sekar at his Memorial at Paramakudi near here on Sept 11.

Police had allocated specific timings for the political and community leaders for the programme. However Krishnaswamy did not maintain the time allotted to him, causing problem for others.

On a complaint from the Village administrative officer police registered a case for violating time schedule.

Police also registered against K Raja for taking a banned route and arrested him today.

They also registered case against Sanjeevagandhi for taking out procession on the road without permission and violating regulatory order.
