Thirty-two cattle were rescued when a truck carrying the animals, reportedly to a slaughter-house, was seized in Hardoi district near here, police said today.
The seize occurred last night in Madhogarh area of Hardoi in which 32 cattle were recovered, of them two dead, a police said.
Police detected the truck last night and tried to stop it. The truck then hit a jeep, which fell into a ditch, and the driver fled the scene abandoning the cattle-ridden vehicle, an official said.
An FIR has been registered in this regard and police have launched probe to nab those involved in the case, they said.
