Policeman shot at, injured by militants

Suspected militants today shot at and critically injured a policeman in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Unidentified gunmen shot at Constable Fayaz Ahmad from close range near Deputy Commissioner's office in Anantnag town, a police officer said.

He said the injured cop was rushed to a hospital here in critical condition.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
