President Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Gujarat on October 23 to inaugurate a hospital at Ankleshwar in Bharuch district on the invitation of Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Ahmed Patel.
The President would also attend an event at Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village, the Leader of Opposition in Assembly Shankersinh Vaghela announced today.
"President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted the invitation by Ahmed Patel and agreed to inaugurate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital at Ankleshwar on October 23," Vaghela told reporters at Gandhinagar.
"Later in the afternoon, he will attend the guest lecture series and award function as the chief guest at my institute at Gandhinagar. Gujarat Governor O P Kohli would also remain present," said Vaghela.
Knowledge Village is an educational institute run by Vaghela.
A day before President's visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend a program of distributing various kits to the disabled persons in Vadodara.
