Quacks arrested

Twenty quacks were arrested

after police intensified search in the wake of 18 deaths due to dengue, police said today.

It was not known whether the quacks had given intial treatment to some of the deceased, police said.

Police said most of them had worked as male nurse under some doctors for a short period and started practicing medicine.

Meanwhile Health Minister Vijayabaskar ordered severe action against medical shop owners who gave medicine to the customers without any prescription.
