Three persons, including two women, were arrested near here today for allegedly practising medicine without qualification, police said.
Amutha, Yogammal, and Senthil Kumar who "practised" allopathic medicine in Vellavedu, Manavalanagar and Gundumedu respectively in Thiruvallur District were arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
They were allegedly practising medicine for several years fraudulently and the "clinics" where they practised were raided after complaints, police added.
Apart from practising medicine they had also dispensed drugs and their educational qualifications revealed only a pass in school final exams, police added.
