Light to moderate rainfall at some places of Uttar Pradesh led to dip in temperature which brought some relief to the people.
The MeT office here said that day temperature fell in Kanpur and Moradabad divisions and was below normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Kanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow Moradabad, Agra and Meerut divisions.
Banda was the hottest place in the state at 42.2 degrees Celsius, while Najibabad recorded a high of 20.5 degrees Celsius, they said.
Aligarh received 13.8 mm rainfall followed by Meerut which received 5.5 mm, they said.
The weatherman forecast rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the state.
