Rape case registered against four men on court order

A case was today registered against four men for allegedly raping a woman nearly an year ago.

The case was registered on the order of a local court here, police said.

A resident of Kanchan Park here has alleged that four men of his colony forcefully entered his house on the night of April 9, 2013 and raped his wife, they said.

The accused--Kanyum, Rahees, Shokeen and Farooq-- were carrying pistols and other arms and they allegedly beat the man when he tried to save his wife, police said, quoting the man.

The man had approached the court after the local police allegedly did not pay heed to his complaint.
