RBI official visits banks to assess currency management

RBI Executive Director Deepali Pant Joshi today inspected various banks here and verified currency status and currency management position.

Joshi also held discussions with Lt Governor Kiran Bedi on demonetisation and its impact in the Union Territory, a Raj Bhavan release said.

The RBI official also explained to the Lt Governor the steps taken by apex bank to ease currency position and the subsequent improvement in availability of currencies in the Union Territory, the release said.
