The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate of rupee at 65.8298 against the US dollar and 74.2692 for the euro as against 65.2385 and 72.5713 respectively, yesterday.
According to an RBI statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were quoted at 103.3857 and 53.55 per 100 yen, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate, the statement added.
