In two separate incidents of robbery in Central Delhi, robbers looted Rs 1.18 crore and stabbed a businessman when he tried to prevent them from looting, the police said today.
The staff of a businessman travelling in a vehicle and carrying around Rs one crore were stopped by robbers, one of them in police uniform on the pretext of checking and providing security on Minto Road last evening, they said.
They entered the vehicle and later threw the staff from the vehicle on Geeta colony flyover.

A case has been registered at Kamla market police station on the complaint of one of the staff members of the businessman and further investigation is on, they said.
In the other incident, a textile businessman was stabbed when he protested robbery at his shop in Raigarpura locality of Prasad Nagar area, last night. The robbers managed to loot Rs 18 lakh from him, police said.
The victim Samir Mehta has a textile business in Raigarpura while he lives with his family at Ghantaghar locality. He was on his shop at around 10 pm when two youth posing as customers came in. Their two accomplices also joined them, said a police officer.
Mehta was beaten and stabbed when he protested when the robbers took out cash from the cash box. After looting the businessman, the four robbers fled away.
Mehta later raised alarm attracting neighbouring businessmen who called police. He was later taken to hospital where he was stated to be out of danger, added the officer.
