Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today laid the foundation stone of the Rs 15,000 crore steel plant in Mundra tehsil in the district.
The plant will be set up by Cromo Steels Private Limited, an official release said.
The Memorandum of Understanding for the project was inked during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in January 2017.
Rupani said the investment of Rs 15,000 crore in this plant, will provide employment to 8,000 to 10,000 persons, the release added.
