Ryan Murphy focusing on the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal for his fourth season of "American Crime Story," and the creator is planning to opt for an unknown face to take on the main role.
Murphy had earlier said that they were considering a newcomer for the role during a chat on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen, and now he has gone into a bit more detail about why he wants a newcomer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I think we'll go after a newcomer to play Monica because that's the part. I'm interested in seeing a young, new person go through that brutality as Monica did," he said.
Murphy is reuniting with Jeffrey Toobin on the Lewinsky-Clinton series, adapting his 2000 bestseller "A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President.
