Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here and congratulated him on the BJP's success in the recent Assembly elections.
Sarkozy also congratulated the Prime Minister for the success of demonetisation, the PMO said in a statement.
Modi congratulated Sarkozy on the publication and success of his latest book, 'Tout pour la France'.
The two leaders discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest, the statement added.
