Select base metals including copper, tin, brass, zinc and lead declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid lower industrial demand.
At overseas, the industrial metal copper gained in early trade, but are set to rack up its third weekly loss in a row on expectations of a summer slowdown, while nickel was set to log the biggest climb among base metals as traders bet on dwindling ore stocks.
Tin fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,210 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,215.

Copper utensils scrap, copper sheet cutting and brass sheet cutting moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 404, Rs 427 and Rs 317 overnight close of Rs 407, Rs 430 and Rs 320.
Copper armiture edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 433 from Rs 435, while copper scrap heavy, brass utensils scrap, zinc and lead all softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 444, Rs 310, Rs 183 and Rs 132 respectively.
