Select base metals weaken on reduced demand

Select base metals including nickel copper and brass sheet cuttings weakened further at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists selling amidst reduced demand from industrial users.

Nickel prices fell by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 680 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 690 and copper sheet cuttings slipped by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 361 as against to Rs 367 yesterday.

Copper armiture and copper utensils declined by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 367 and Rs 345 as compared to Rs 372 and Rs 350 previously.

Copper scrap heavy and brass sheet cuttings moved down by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 374 and Rs 287 from yesterday's closing Rs 378 and Rs 291.
 

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar edged down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 381 and Rs 409 from Rs 384 and Rs 412 previously.
