Silver futures rose 0.75 per cent to Rs 44,625 per kg today after participants created speculative positions amid a firming trend in precious metals in global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July gained Rs 334, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 44,625 per kg in a a business turnover of 42 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 158, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 45,005 per kg in a turnover of 4,762 lots.

In the international market, silver rose 0.10 per cent to USD 21.15 an ounce in London.
The rise in silver prices at futures trade was mostly in line with a firming trend in overseas markets, analysts said.
