There was a slight respite from heat wave in Vidarbha today as maximum temperatures dropped in several parts of the region with Chandrapur recording the highest temperature at 47 degrees Celsius.
Nagpur, after recording temperature at 47 degrees Celsius early this week for two consecutive days, today experienced respite with mercury coming down at 45.1 degrees, officials at Regional Meteorological Centre said.
Chandrapur had yesterday recorded maximum temperature at 47.6 degrees, they said.

Akola, Amravati and Bramhapuri recorded their maximum temperature at 42.5, 42.4 and 45.3 degrees respectively.
Temperature in Washim, Wardha and Yavatmal were recorded at 40, 45.2 and 41.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
