Sourav scored 102 in the third frame and won the match 3-0 against Siddharth Parikh (Railways) from Mumbai. His superb potting skills mesmerised all those present at the venue.

He had a possibility of 129 points but missed yellow on 102 points.

Prior to this, he won both the frames comfortably to outplay Siddharth Parikh.

However, in the morning session, Siddharth Parikh had a tough fight against Rupesh Shah (ONGC) of Ahmedabad.

Siddharth bagged initial two frames without any difficulty but Rupesh bounced back by winning the next three frames to win 3-2.

Current Asian champion Aditya Mehta hardly broke a sweat in winning his first match of the championship.

Joshi, however, produced some resistance and grabbed second frame, but Aditya made a comfortable win over Devendra Joshi (BPCL) from Mumbai by winning next two frames.

In another match, former Asian Champion Alok Kumar also faced stiff competition from Gujarat player Bhadresh Panchal before winning 3-2.
