Soybean prices rose by Rs 28 to Rs 3,712 per quintal in futures trade today on creation of fresh positions by the participants amidst positive overseas cues.
Marketmen said rising trend in international markets due to restricted supplies amid pick up in demand reflected up move in soybean futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean delivery for the April contracts advanced by Rs 28, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 3,712 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 2,11,900 lots.
Similarly, the delivery of May contracts improved by Rs 25 or 0.67 per cent to Rs 3,754 per quintal, with an open interest of 78,790 lots.
