Spice exports have increased by 10 per cent to Rs 10,916 crore in the first nine months of 2014-15 fiscal on increased shipments of ginger.
Spice exports during April-December period of 2013-14 stood at Rs 9,910 crore, according to Spice Board of India's official data.
In terms of quantity, the exports increased by 8 per cent to 6.58 lakh tonnes in April-December period of 2014-15 from 6.10 lakh tonnes during same period in 2013-14.

The board has fixed the target of exporting 7.55 lakh tonnes of spices, valued at Rs 12,304 crore, in 2014-15.
Till December 2014, the board achieved 89 per cent of target in terms of value and 87 per cent of target in terms of quantity.
