Sriganganagar recorded a maximum temperature of 40.5 degrees Celsius and was the hottest place in Rajasthan today even as light to moderate rain was recorded at a few places in Udaipur and Bharatpur districts.
In the Udaipur division, three cm rainfall was recorded in Sagwada of Dungarpur district, 2 cm in Dambola and 1 cm in Veja area.
In the Bharatpur division, 2 cm rainfall was recorded in the Dholpur tehsil in the last 24 hours, a MeT spokesperson said.

With 40.5 degrees Celsius Sriganganagar was the hottest followed by 39.1 degrees Celsius in Churu, 37 in Jaisalmer, 36.8 in Jaipur, 36.7 in Pilani, 36.4 in Kota, 36.5 in Barmer, 35.6 in Bikaner, 35.3 in Jodhpur, 33.7 in Ajmer and 32 degrees Celsius respectively in Dabok.
The MeT department has predicted light rains in a few areas of the state in the next 24 hours.
