Striving hard' to fill vacant govt posts: Punjab minister

Punjab Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi today said the state government was striving hard to fill vacant posts in its various departments.

The Punjab government is committed to provide employment to youths in government and private sector of the state, Channi said after handing over appointment letters to 15 newly appointed lecturers at his office here.

The state government is striving hard to fill the vacant posts in various departments, he added.

Technical education and industrial training is the flag bearer in this campaign as the government has managed to fill a large number of vacant posts, the minister said.

Exhorting the newly appointed lecturers to adopt students and train them for competitions, the minister allotted them stations of choice and said that there postings will be made on merit.

 

Lecturers, who would perform well, would be posted at nearby institutes as per their preferences, the minister said.
