Sugar ends mixed at Vashi wholesale market

Prices of both varieties of sugar -- and medium -- ended mixed at the Vashi wholesale market here today on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 2,702/2,902 per quintal as against Rs 2,726/2,815 previously.

Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,826/3,011 per quintal as compared to Rs 2,822/3,021 last weekend.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,826/3,011 (Rs 2,822/3,021.

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,702/2,902 (Rs 2,726/2,815).
