A special POCSO court here Monday remanded a man arrested in connection with the rape and murder of a three-and-a-half-year-old girl here to police custody till October 30.
The victim had gone missing from her house in Godadara locality of Surat, and her body was later recovered from a locked building in the vicinity on October 16.
The court of special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and Atrocity judge P S Kala remanded Anil Yadav, who was arrested by Surat police Friday last week from Bihar's Buxar district, in police custody till October 30.
Yadav lived on the ground floor of the building where the victim's family lived.
