Swaraj Abhiyan will hold its first public debate, on the lines of US primaries, among candidates wanting to contest bypoll from Wazirpur ward.
The Abhiyan, led by Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, had shortlisted Sujata Gupta, Amanjyot Kaur, both related to Swaraj Abhiyan, and social activists Pankaj Gupta and Ashok Sharma as probable candidates to contest from Wazirpur ward.
Swaraj Abhiyan, which plans to portray the bypoll as a model based on US primaries, will arrange debates among four candidates to help people choose their 'lok ummedwar' (people's candidate).
