The ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) today registered significant victories in the Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively.
TDP and TRS, which won the assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively in May, bagged substantial number of MPPs in the indirect polls (voted by Mandal Parishad Territorial Constiteuncy), according to information reaching here from the districts.
The ruling parties were highly successful in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively in the indirect elections held yesterday for the municipal corporations and municipalities.
