Telangana: murder convict escapes from jail in Medak district

A prisoner who was serving life term escaped from the the district jail in Sangareddy in Medak district of Telangana last night, police said.
P Nageshwar Reddy, jail superintendent, said the prisoner Yadagiri (40), native of Gunduraipally village in Toopran mandal, had been convicted in two murder cases in 2008.
He was earlier at central prison at Cherlapally, Hyderabad, and was sent here this July.
He escaped while working in a prison garden. Police have launched a manhunt for him.
