Austrian film 'The Woods Are Still Green' will open the upcoming 5th Jagran Film Festival.
The film set during the First World War, helmed by Marko Nabersnik, will be screened at the festival on September 22 here to mark the the anniversary of the First World War.
The seven day film festival (September 22-28) will focus on world peace.

"The year 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the First World War. It's that moment of time in our lives where we need to revisit the horrors of war so that we understand and value world peace and its benefits," said Festival's strategic consultant, Manoj Srivastava about why the anti-war drama has been chosen as the opener of the festival.
"The theme is so important to our philosophy that we decided to select this particular film as the opening film to set up the tone for the film festival season which begins in Mumbai," said Basant Rathore, Vice President, Jagran Group.
