Three members of a family died after inhaling toxic gases inside a dried-up well in the district today, police said.
Assistant sub-inspector Mahendra Kumar Gautam said the victims were trying to remove a motor pump from the dried up well in their house at Chhinda village.
Jitu Kushwaha (35), who climbed down first, passed out after inhaling the toxic gases.
Sapna Kushwaha (18) and Rupesh Kushwaha (25), his family members, got into the well to help him, but fell unconscious too.
Some villagers then entered the well wearing masks and brought them out, but all three were declared dead at hospital.
