Three factory workers injured

Three contractual workers were today injured when some solid objects fell on them at a steel plant in Kalinga Nagar industrial complex in Jajpur district, police said.

The workers on duty sustained injuries when some soild objects being uplifted by a crane fell on them from about 60 feet high in the premises of the under-construction plant.

The injured workers were rushed to the local government hospital at Danagadi. Later one was shifted to a private hospital in Cuttack, police said.

Factories and Boilers Deputy Director Kamalendu Mohapatra rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation, plant sources said.
